First week online!
It is the end of the first week online for Jitter.org.uk and we are hugely pleased with the take up so far!
During this time we have fixed a couple of minor issues - including not least, the user verificaton filter. You may have noticed it was quite difficult to view the characters when registering or contacting us. This has been made much more user friendly and legible!
We have also just added a new feature, which we hope will help to promote your exhibition, gallery or art work. You can now submit events to an events calendar which is visible to guest and registered users.
FYI You can add new events by using the 'create web content' menu followed by 'event'. Once you have completed the submit event form your event will be added to the calendar ('Events Calendar') for all to see.
The events calendar has multiple views and can also be downloaded into your Microsoft Outlook icalendar (click the small icon at the bottom right of the calendar).
Links to your events have also been placed on a refreshed profile listing page and the public or registered members can navigate their way to these from their.
Forums and blogs have yet to be fully exploited by all members, but I'm sure people will begin to use these features as time moves on and to their full potential. Use the blogs and forums to keep people up to date with what you are up to, your artwork, service or exhibition and enjoy discussion about the arts in general.
A further note, to those interested in using forums and blogs, pingback can be used to link to posts on other web sites. This will automatically send a links to your post on a different website when you hyperlink text. This will help readers can follow discussions across websites.
Well, that's about it for now. Remember to keep up to date with the events calendar. We look forward to hearing from you in the forums and blogs.
