AWOL Studios has 58 Studios in Hope Mill in Manchester. We have just finished a refurbishment of the 5th floor so currently have some New Studios ready for you to move in.
All Studios have 24 hour access, lifts, heating, good light, v secure, etc.

I paint unique, bizarre sensually vibrant urban landscapes or cityscapes usually of Manchester in the North of England thereby following in the tradition of Valette, L.S. Lowry and others. My paintings often begin with an almost Lowryesque naivism but then wander into more bizarre directions eclectically pooling influences as diverse as Soutine, Munch, Derain, cartoons and lately even elements of abstract expressionism wherein I try to marshall its useful emotional and sensual qualities in an otherwise figurative landscape. My paintings have been used promotionally by the University of Lancaster, the University of Manchester, in pop videos, in magazines, and made into postcards by the Manchester Tourist Office. They are exhibited regularly in the Northwest of England, and are in private collections around the world.
Over the past 13 years Comme Ca Art has organized exhibitions for a range of galleries and venues on a local and international scale. One of Manchester's leading Art Agency's-our initiatives range from public to private art projects that have pioneered the use of alternative venues amongst traditional art spaces as a way to showcase emerging artists and their work in accessible spaces.Comme Ca Art supports local artists and encourages people to enjoy art as part of their everyday lives.
Darran Slater was born in Salford, Manchester in 1965. Taking his early inspirations from Andy Warhol he has developed his own style of figurative, original hand painted art.
