Squid & Tabernacle is an itinerant gallery project staging a series of short-term exhibitions in varying media and venues. Our new location, a shipping container at Hartwell Street in Dalston, will play host to a series of site-specific exhibitions, installations and interventions starting spring 2010.

Rachel Price: Planning Permission. 2nd - 23rd April 2010

In April, Squid & Tabernacle is pleased to present the first solo exhibition of London-based sculptor Rachel Price.

Price’s work is concerned with investigating the dynamic between the finite, frank nature of sculpture and the conceptually infinite but physically limited nature of the image. With Planning Permission, Price attempts to locate a point of intersection between the two, building "unfeasible architectural models”, led by the constraints of their materials rather than by ergonomic considerations.
